Hi Ben, we have wi-fi however it is not public. We are required to keep ours private for credit card processing and privacy. Besides!, we want you to unplug a little and enjoy!
It was a feed store that served a lot of, what was then farm and small ranches that was the area North of what is now Loop 820 and Hurst, North Richland Hills and Smithfield. The current owners have kept a lot of old charm of the building and have some of the best BBQ in Tarrant County. Just My opinion.
Website says 11/1 reservations begin for holiday hams & turkeys $42.99 each
Pretty good place. My family and I are new to the neighborhood. We had passed this restaurant a few times and decided to go tonight. Most of everything was delicious, however the fruit was not fresh and I could not eat it.
Friendly staff and delicious food. Quality of meat was much better than some others in the area. Moist brisket was very good
Great local BBQ with a really smart weekday lunch special.
I had some great pork chop sandwich. Good sausages. Was not really a great fan of the potatoe salad. Will visit again to try their brisket. The place was mostly empty. Not sure if it's that way all the time
Meat was good. The side dishes wasn't good. Need seasoning
Really like this place. Smoked turkey sandwich is spot on. Get the spicy sauce if you're looking for a great flavor pop. And sweet ranch beans on the side.
We did delivery. Food arrived nice and hot But I thought it was too salty and they didn’t give us the right sides. Tried calling restaurant To let them know and their phones ring busy, no one will answer their phones.
Delicious BBQ and cold beer! The staff is very friendly also. We ate here a few Friday evenings ago and there weren't many people there. Seems that more people were ordering their food to go but I'm glad we were able to eat at the restaurant. We each had a BBQ sandwich and sides. Everything tasted good and fresh and the ice cold beer was a plus. I definitely recommend this place.
Really disappointing. First time here and Probably last. Understaffed serving line. Used Styrofoam cups for veggies. Gave the impression of being 'cheap.' Meat was just ok. Little smoky taste. Probably best part was green beans and leaving. Safe your time and dollars for somewhere else.
Thought it seemed reasonably priced but when we picked up our food we'd discovered we were jipped. We paid a dollar extra to sub a house salad in the place of 2 sides. We recieved the small styrofoam container half full with chopped lettuce and tomato with some cheese sprinkled on top. Now they charge about $3 for most of there sides so $6 plus a dollar is about $7. For $7 you can buy 5 heads of lettuce and a couple of tomatoes. For the price we should have at least gotten a full big styrofoam container of "salad". The meat portions in the combo meal seemed a little on the light side as well. Just not $16 worth of food compared to other places around. The cole slaw was about half full too.
Bottom line: best brisket I've ever had. These are uncertain times. You need some certainty in your life right now, you may not know it but you need some brisket from the back forty. I'm certain this is the best brisket in town maybe even the city. When I came into the back forty I was hungry, stressed out and just thinking of getting a sandwich and getting back to work. I was helped by the friendly staff and when I sat in my truck and took that first bite nothing else mattered, all those worries melted away like the fat on that perfectly crusted brisket and my first thought was "I have to bring my wife here". Food brings people together, it brings families together. Good Food will have total strangers laughing and cutting up in no time flat. Come to back forty and pick up dinner for your family tonight. Bring Everyone together with a delicious meal and forget about all the craziness going around right now. You'll be thankful you did
This is the most flavorless BBQ I've ever had. I had the "moist" brisket. It was overcooked and tasted like it had absolutely no seasoning, not even salt. With all the good BBQ places around here, I don't see how this place can stay open. I ordered a plate and was given a small portion of brisket, 2 sides and drink for $18.50. Overpriced to top it all off. Needless to say, I will not go back.
We have never eaten here before but had driven by and wondered about it. Well, we ate there today. I LOVED it! The brisket was soooo moist, full of flavor and melted in my mouth. Oh yeah! The sausage and ribs were equally awesome. Sides were great also. Oh and the banana pudding, let's just say I closed my eyes and hummed alot. We will be back soon!!
I give this place in absolute 5 stars the staff here are absolutely fantastic the place has dim lighting with condiment old school feel that's fine with me when I care about is the food the place is also very clean and well kept up and people here are polite and the food is hot and may on time and excellent quality for your price you can get a lot of food here for under 30 books including a drink
We enjoyed it. Not the "best" brisket in town like other reviewers have said, but ok enough. The mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and fried okra were outstanding. We didn't care for the potato salad or sweet ranch beans. We'll be back to try the ribs and the CFS.
